Church Shutters………You have probably noticed that the church shutters have recently been removed.  They are being repaired and repainted, a project long overdue.  The cost of this improvement is approximately $2,500 plus the cost of having them taken down and put back in place.  If you are interested in contributing to this project, please get a check to Bridgette or simply put it in the alms basin on Sunday.  Be sure to write “church shutters” on the memo line of your check.

If you would like to make a meal for someone having surgery, having a baby or in need, please call our meal coordinator, Charlotte James.

Annual Youth Choir Pizza Party:  Wednesday, February 15th.  Please join us following your practice for pizza, treats & good times together.  Even if you haven't been out much this year, it's a great night to reconnect with your choir friends as the season winds down.  Laurel Harrelson welcomes donations for pizza, veggie tray or desserts.  Click HERE to     contact her by email. Checks may be made payable to St. Luke's Episcopal church with a notation for "youth choir pizza party".  Would you like to personally thank these young people for the joy & enthusiasm their gift brings St. Lukes?  A Valentine bag is on the credenza outside of the church office - please place a note of thanks in this bag to be given to them on February 15th.  Many thanks.
Our 4th Sunday Taize  Service will begin at 5:30 on February 26th.  Come and bring a friend to this ministry for the St. Luke's community.

On Sunday, March 4th at 4 PM, we will have a conversation about "Journey to Adulthood" (J2A) with Rebecca Shepherd, the leader of J2A at Church of the Redeemer in Midlothian. J2A is a comprehensive Christian formation program for middle school and high school students; it is one of the possibilities we are considering for our young people. All are invited to come to learn more and ask questions. Here is the website if you would like to read about it: http://leaderresources.org/j2a

An economical van is needed to be used to pick up food for the Ruby Leonard Food Pantry which is sponsored by the Coalition of Powhatan Churches. The van currently being used was donated about 10 years ago and is costly to operate and in need of costly repairs.  If you know of a suitable van which could be donated, please call the church office (794-6953) and let Bridgette know or email Steve Moore.  Thank you.
