Wednesday Evening Lenten Series: Pilgrims on a Journey
"Join your brothers and sisters for dinner on Wednesdays in Lent at 6:15 PM and stay for the Lenten series at 7:00 PM: Wednesday March 13th:Wendy LeBolt, PhD, author of Made to Move: Knowing and Loving God Through Our Bodies (Upper Room Book, 2018), shares what she has learned about meditation and movement as a practice of prayer (https://wendylebolt.com/). Wendy is a long-time friend of Don Morris, our Senior Warden. Wednesday, March 20th: Teresa Tivenan, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, will present “Fearfully and Wonderfully Made (Psalm 139): Knowing Ourselves and Others through the Enneagram”, an amazing tool for personal and spiritual growth. Wednesday, March 27th: Kathy Theado, our Parish Administrator, brings years of experience as a Christian education leader at Christ Church, Glen Allen, as Sunday School Chair, at St. Michael’s, Bon Air, as Director of Christian Education, and as a leader for the God & Country program for the Boy Scouts. Kathy will lead our journey with the Stations of the Cross and help us prepare materials for our Good Friday service. Wednesday, April 3rd: The Rev. Dr. Paula Owens Parker, author of Roots Matter: Healing History, Honoring Heritage, Renewing Hope (Pickwick Publishers, 2016), will lead us in unpacking generational family stories of brokenness and blessing. Wednesday, April 10th: Our Mission, My Mission, Your Mission" - Jack Speed, RN, will share with us his many journeys (16 trips!) as a medical missionary and challenge us to consider God's call to mission in our lives. No dinner during Holy Week! Wednesday, April 17th: 7:00 PM Holy Eucharist with prayers for healing of brokenness in our families and blessing the legacies we have received.
