Worship With Us

Service Description

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church is a community of believers that strives to spread the word of God through word and deed. We welcome all who seek to become part of a Church family that faithfully serves God. We care very deeply about our members, our community and our neighbors throughout the world.

Wednesday Centering Prayer Group
A Time of Silence and Stillness

Two quotes by Thomas Merton encourage the practice of Centering Prayer. He writes, “In silence God ceases to be an object and becomes an experience”. And “In a world of noise, confusion and conflict, it is necessary that there be places of silence, inner discipline, and peace. In such places love can blossom.”

Wednesdays, 1:30 pm – 2:00 pm, we are invited to come together in the Parish House for a time of silence and stillness. Centering Prayer is method of contemplative prayer that aids in the quieting of our lives, so we might be better able hear God’s voice. Time is given in support of each other’s practice of centering prayer and a period of quiet prayer.

Opportunities for Prayer and Reflection on Facebook

Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, Noonday Prayer is said on St. Luke’s Facebook page at 11:45 am. The Noonday Office is a wonderful gift from the Church. It provides a pause in the middle of the day to be reminded of being in God’s presence. It invites us to take a few minutes and reflect on God’s love and care. It encourages us to renew our intention of giving the day to God and the doing of God’s will. The videos are available for viewing later in the day if schedules do not allow for participation 11:45 am

About Us

What to Expect

Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome here. We hope your experience at St. Luke’s will encourage and strengthen you.

Our worship style varies among the services from quiet and reflective to a service with a blend of well-loved hymns and newer music accompanied by an organ and a piano. Our services are taken from the Book of Common Prayer. Holy Communion is celebrated at each service and all are invited to join us.
